My husband Patrick Mowery thought of making this league in 2013 after getting the diagnosis of our unborn son. It was determined he had Down Syndrome. After lots of questions to Dr.'s we realized our son could be all that he could be. Around the same time our youngest daughter was diagnosed with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis and bound to a wheel chair. We were definitly going thru a lot. I recieved a call from my husband in Dec, 2013... He told me an idea came to him. Kids like Camden, and Kaity should have every opportunity to love baseball as he hoped our children would. We would start a special needs baseball team in our league. With his passion for baseball, I knew this was a wonderful idea. Camden cam to us on Jan. 7th 2014. Camden has brought us so much joy and our lives would never be the same without him. Since then Kaitylnn is out of her wheelchair and Camden continues to reach milestones thru lots of physical, occupational, and speech therapy.
Our olderst son has been invovled with Upper Allen Baseball for years. this is a terrific organization. So it was no surprise that when my husband went to the league with this idea, we were welcomed with open arms. We are so happy to have the opportunity to give other families like ours inspiration and a place of acceptance. We hope we can build the Bambino Buddy Ball league for many years to come. We can't wait to see our Camden racing around the bases. I know I speak for Pat when I say thank you to all involved in helping us to create this dream for our children to have an organization like this to belong to.

here we are 7 years later and Camden is ready to start his first season. We have grown from 7 players our first year to over 20 now and still growing. We now have 2 levels, JR and SR buddy ball. We look forward to many more seasons to come
